VisitPasadena.com is a very good, user-friendly source for what to do and where to eat while in Pasadena. We have made many memories in this beautiful city, so we hope you can make a few of your own.
We included a few of our favorites things to do and places to eat below!
This is where we had our first, formal date (in-person haha)! It is a research and cultural center surrounded by 120 acres of breathtaking gardens. Every garden has a different theme. Perfect for a leisurely walk in the beautiful, California sunshine.
Throughout our time dating, we have realized we are not big museum people; but if you are, make sure to stop by the Norton Simon. A serene and reflective activity, perfect for a summer day. Like any notable museum, it has an impressive collection of Catholic art to be admired, as well as Van Gogh and Degas.
A beautiful, large park - one of our favorite spots in Pasadena. Perfect place for a picnic or to read a good book...or to realize you can't do the monkey bars like you could in second grade.
A splurge, but a splurge well worth it! Some of the best sushi you'll ever eat. They do not take reservations, but if there is a wait you can walk across the street to Celestino Ristorante and Bar and enjoy a drink (or two) until they text you.
There is not a single Del Taco in North Carolina (according to their website). Brennan requested we go here during his first trip to California, and Emma very much obliged. We recommend the bean and cheese burrito (Emma prefers it with red sauce over green), the beer-battered fish tacos, the hamburger, the mini shakes, and of course the fries. Fries with Mexican is revolutionary.
Customizable burgers (or chicken sandwiches) - what a concept! Think Chipotle, but for burgers. Customize everything from the type of protein and bread to every topping, condiment, and sauce. You can even crown it with a giant jalapeño. How did we not think of this first?
