We are honored that you are coming to participate in the Nuptial Mass and witness us be united in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony. In this Holy Sacrament, we will be bound together forever as husband and wife, and receive the gift of God's grace to discharge the duties of our state faithfully until death.
During the Sacrifice of the Holy Mass, the bread and wine will become the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ, known as the Eucharist. The Holy Eucharist is the source and summit of our Catholic Faith. Because receiving the Eucharist signifies a shared faith and full communion with the Catholic Church's teachings, only baptized Catholics who have received their first communion, are practicing their faith, and are not aware of having committed mortal (serious) sins since their last confession may receive the Eucharist. Deliberately missing the in-person Sunday Mass obligation is an example of a mortal sin that would prohibit you from receiving the Eucharist until you have attended the Sacrament of Confession. We will have confession times available prior to the Nuptial Mass. If you will not receive the Eucharist, please remain in your seat and pray for and with us during this time.
Out of reverence and respect for Jesus Christ's Real Presence in the Tabernacle and the sacred events taking place, we ask that all guests dress modestly in attire that reflects the solemnity of the venue and the occasion. Please observe a respectful silence inside the church at all times and refrain from clapping throughout the ceremony. Thank you for your understanding.
We cannot wait to celebrate with you!
